Kyle here -- What could be better than fly fishing in Idaho on the world-class Snake River? Well, only a few things but nothing you can do outdoors tops this. Usually we call it fishing and not catching because… well.. u know. This is fishing and catching country, though, and we did just that. Spent the entire day floating through the Idaho wilderness, catching rainbows, cuthroat and browns while spotting the occasional moose, eagle and waterfall. And for some reason we want to live in a city.
Last night in Bangkok
Ok, there was actually one more stop. Our flight back to Dallas departed from Bangkok so we had to spend one more night in our least favorite Asian city. We had to choose between staying at a sad airport hotel which would make our 8 am flight the next day a little less painful, or sleeping in the downtown area and attempting to make the best of our final stop.
We decided to go out with a bang and used Chase points to book a room in the hotel Lebua. The sky bar is the highest one in Bangkok, and also happened to be featured in the Hangover II. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite with a balcony. More room than we knew what to do with. The view from the top was gorgeous, though the drinks were probably more expensive than any place I’ve ever been in the world. Which is funny considering that everything on the ground in Bangkok is dirt cheap compared to most places. The most inexpensive thing on the menu (including a light beer) was $30! We opted to just enjoy the view and have drinks elsewhere. Still, it was a fun way to end our trip before rolling out of bed at 5 am the next day for our 20+ hour journey home.

Phu Quoc
Our last stop before the long trek back to the US and jobs and real life… So we decided to take one more beach stop and blow our budget on a 5-star resort for our final days. (Thankfully luxury hotels in Vietnam are about 1/4 of what you’d pay in most other places!)
The resort didn’t have easy access to the town, so we spent most of our time on the beach there, or walking up and down the shore, stopping for food, drinks, or cheap beachside massages.
On our last night there, we ventured into town for a choose-your-own seafood dinner and a walk through the night market.
